Tour guide was funny and knowledgeable. Walked away with understanding the complete history of the family and the plantation.
The bus was early at the visitor's center, and we left promptly on time. The tour bus driver was very knowledgeable and kind. We enjoyed spending the day with her. She walked us through the day and met us at each step of the way if we needed orienting while on property. The property itself was nice. All of the guides on-property were knowledgeable and kind as well. Although $14 for a ham and cheese sandwich on-property was utterly ridiculous. In the future, I would recommend bringing your own lunch in your backpack or day bag. Bathrooms were easily accessible. We returned just a few minutes after our scheduled time, which was great. I was able to squeeze in another activity since we returned on-time.
