Folly Beach
2 hr - From the meeting point guests will be taken out to the oyster farm via boat to see how Charleston Oyster Farm grows premium single oysters for area raw bars and restaurant. Guests will get the history of wild oyster harvesting techniques and how those practices have evolved to become more sustainable. We will have the opportunity to see them in their natural habitat before checking out the floating oyster farm nestled in a small creek behind Folly Beach off the Stone River to learn about what goes into cultivating a single oyster for the raw market. To conclude the tour we pull oyster straight out of the water and shuck them on the boat for guests to try along with a "how to" shucking demonstration.
