What To Expect
Join us for a fantastic evening of live music and beautiful harbor views aboard the Charleston Princess. The meal is buffet style and available throughout the cruise. There is no set time for dining or reserved seating. The vessel is 3 decks with open seating on all 3 and the buffet is set up on the lower deck in the Main Salon. There are dining tables readily available. The band is set up on the mid deck with plenty of room for dancing.
We will offer a variety of bands throughout the season.

Sit topside with band for best experience!

Celebrated our 30th anniversary with a Blues and BBQ cruise. Get there about 6:30 and find a seat outside with the band. You can hardly hear anything except engine noise down below inside. It was just the two of us and the cruise started promptly at 7 and by 7:30 one of us saved our seats and the other went below and got two plates of barbque - took about ten minutes as the line was still long. (When they start serving, the line is longer than that!) You have air conditioning inside below, but you only can hear engine noise. some people sat there and ate, but we enjoyed the sights of the harbor, Ravenel bridge, downtown skyline at dusk and then we ate topside while listening to the blues music the whole time. The bbq by Swig and Swine was very good. The bartenders make strong drinks, so if you ask they will make them a little weaker. The view is awesome topside and you can hear the music the whole time and it is not so loud unless you sit right by the speakers. After everyone ate - around 8, everyone was trying to come outside to hear the band, but the seats were all gone and people were standing. We plan to go again as it was really good. The band Shrimp City Slim sells out as they are a great blues band and the lead singer has a genuine blues voice! Enjoyed the entire experience! We ubered there and home so we did not have to worry about parking. Recommend ubering as the parking sucks downtown.

The BBQ was great! There was plenty of food (BBQ pork, chicken, slaw, mac & cheese, big cookies, and iced tea. The crew were all very friendly and the captain personable. Shrimp City Slim and the band played for the full two hour cruise with just a small break after about an hour. And the view of Charleston from the water in the evening provided an awesome background. If you like Blues & BBQ while cruising in the harbor, I'd recommend this to you; it was well worth the money!

This was a gorgeous evening for a cruise. It was catered by Pig &Swine BBQ, the food was great. The blues music was fun, not too loud and the drinks were mixed well. I will definitely do this when in the area again.

Relaxing, good food and the music was good. Band could have taken a shorter break. Perhaps calling by table for dinner would be a good idea. But dinner was surprisingly pretty orderly. Overall a good experience.
Charleston Sunset Cruise and BBQ

Unfortunately, by the time we actually left the dock the sun had pretty much set, so in that regard, it wasn't much of a sunset cruise. Both the food and entertainment were good but the boat itself was a bit crowded making it difficult to really enjoy the ambiance of the evening. In general, our party of four was neutral regarding our overall experience on this tour.
